Tuscaloosa from 4500 ft in IR

More IR madness, this time from a Piper Tripacer swooping down to catch a few infrared looks at Tuscaloosa and the Evil Empir -errr- The University of Alabama campus. Mad props to Pat Griffin for the plane ride and his shortwing piloting skills.

May 01, 2004. Looking northwest, the campus in the foreground and the airport in the distance at left, split by the Black Warrior River. This was a good opportunity to test the Mojo Eye under unusual conditions. The sky was a bit hazy, but quite bright enough. The difference in contrast when shooting into the afternoon sun and away is visible in this picture and the next.

Looking southeast away from the sun. More contrast. Hardwood trees show up brighter.

Bryant-Denny Stadium. Almost nearly clearly visible is the invisible secret entrance leading to the underground Star Chamber where the ultra-secret Crimson Cabal meet to run the state in a diabolical conspiracy!

Or so I hear, from unquestionably objective sources.
