Bad StormLooking east toward Jackson County from Monte Sano State Park on July 14, 2004
Around 3PM, a massive storm moved into North Alabama, and the Mojo Eye was there. This image is full size when you click on it. I expected the storm to move more toward the east so I could see it illuminated from behind. It came pretty much due south, with a big gust splattering all over eastern Madison County, sustained wind, lightning, and heavy rain. Time to back off for a bit. This image is also full size when you click on it. The front moved through rapidly. This view shows Gurley toward the left and Owens Crossroads on the right. Guntersville was next on the path.
